Bulletin: Week of April 1, 2012

Flowers are placed in the sanctuary today by the family of Lois Gaines in honor of her 95th birthday on April 3, 2012.


Deacon meeting today at 5 pm.


The WMU ladies will need to meet after the 11:00 AM Service today for a joint WMU photo.


Open Gym: We will have open gym time for 7-12 grades from 1 until 3 on April 5th in the Family Life Center.


On April 5th at 7:00 pm we will have a church-wide “The Lord’s Supper Thursday.” This will be a commemoration of the first Lord’s Supper during Easter week. The youth will be doing music, and we will be receiving communion as a church body. All are invited.


There will be no Revolution or AWANA meetings on Wednesday night due to Spring Break. Brotherhood and WMU will meet.


Kerry Avery will be having a Concealed Weapons Class on April 7, 2012 in the fellowship building at 8:00 am. If you need to contact Kerry, call him at 444-6260. Cost of class is $50.


Next Sunday is Easter Sunday. The Sunrise Service starts at 7:00 am. Rev. Scott Uselman, pastor at Smith Chapel, will be bringing the devotion. We will serve Hardee’s Biscuits afterwards. We will not have a Sunday night service. Come and bring a friend to the special service!


Remember to mark your calendars: Directory photos will be available for pick up between 3-7 pm on April 12 in the fellowship hall. If you are unable to pick them up during that time and have fully paid for the photos, you can arrange to have someone pick them up for you (make sure they have the sales slip), or they will leave them and we make sure they are delivered to you. If you have not fully paid for the photos, they will take them back and will contact you for payment and delivery.


Combined Bible Study in fellowship hall at 10 am on April 15th. Josh Addis will be teaching. All adult classes are invited for fellowship, teaching and refreshments.


Church Council meeting, April 15 at 5 pm in the Spares & Pairs Classroom.


Youth, on April 27-28, we will be participating in the Less/More PBA Youth Event. If you have not made arrangements to be a part of this event, see Austin ASAP.


Our summer mission trip will be June 16-23. We will be going to Cumberland to work the Appalachian Regional Ministry. Please sign up as soon as possible. The dead line will be April 22. We must know if you plan to make this trip as soon as possible. We have to prepare for transportation, lodging and food. You must be a faithful church member in order to be a part of this team. When serving on a mission team, we must prepare our hearts, our souls and our minds for the work God has led us to do. Everyone going must attend a meeting on April 29 after the 11:00 service.


VBS material is in the Young Married Sunday School Classroom.


We have received $1,765 toward our $2700 goal for Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions. Pray and give.


Please come help support Kerry Avery raise money for his campaign for Sheriff on April 7 from 6-8:00 pm in the FLC. Cost per adult is $20 and children 12 and under is $5. There will be food, entertainment and silent auction at this event. Please RSVP Kerry by April 2nd. His cell # is 444-6260.


Food Pantry Team gave out 60 boxes of food this month, ministering to 180 people. Thank you for allowing Jesus to use you.
