Dear church family, This summer, July 26-August 2, I have the opportunity to go with a missions team to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The Merge college ministry of First Baptist of Spartanburg is sponsoring the trip. The team will be working with an orphanage to share the Gospel and simply show people the love o Christ. During the day, we will host a VBS for the children feeding them both physically and spiritually and in the evenings, we will spend time in fellowship with Haitian Christians encouraging them to keep up the work. I covet your prayers as the team is developed and plans are made as well as during the trip. This will be my first international mission trip so I would especially be appreciative of your prayers. The total cost of the trip with expenses is $1500. I would also be grateful for your prayerful consideration of making a donation towards my expenses. If you decide to make a contribution, donations may be placed in the offering and clearly marked “Lydia Baker mission trip.”

Ron and Faye Humphries would like to extend our thanks and appreciation for all the prayers, cards, gifts and support we have received from our church family during Faye’s surgery and recovery and the illness of Rhonda Alexander. Thank you so much.
