He Prays for the Country
A couple was touring the Capitol. Their guide pointed to a distinguished looking gentleman. “That is the congressional chaplain,” the guide explained.
“And what does the chaplain do? Does he pray for the Senate or the House?”
The guide replied, “No, he gets up, looks at the Congress . . .and then he prays for the country!”
Happy Fourth of July, Bro. Royce

Mexico Mission Trip
It is time to start praying about our 2007 Mexico Mission trip. We leave Thursday night around 10 pm on November 1st and return Sunday, November 11th. Ask God if he wants you to go. Sign-up sheet is on the table in the vestibule.

AED machine
Automated external defibrillator is located in the Young Married Classroom at the end of the hall past the pastor’s study. We want to say thanks to everyone who helped pay for this valuable machine. Hopefully, we will never need it but if someone has a heart attack, it will be a blessing to have. The medical equipment has been relocated to this area also, and we will be taking blood pressures there. Thanks, the Health Ministry Team

New Member’s Class
On July 8th at 6 pm, the New Member’s Class will begin in the Young Adult’s Sunday School Classroom, which is room #5. This class is for those new members joining after January 1, 2007 and anyone interested in becoming a member of the church.

Thank You
Dear Church Family,
Thank you for your prayers, cards and the generous memorial of ten Gideon Bibles purchased in Daddy’s memory. It is times like these that we can truly lean on our church. Yours in Christ, LeRay & Melvin Maw
