Bulletin: week of 7-15-07

We will be receiving a special love offering for three families in our church this morning.

Kat Albertson will be teaching our Quarterly Adult Sunday School Fellowship in the fellowship building at 10 am this morning. All adults are invited to attend. Come and enjoy the refreshments and fellowship.

Church council will meet today at 5 pm in the Spares and Pairs Classroom.

We will have church conference tonight.

Rock Springs Baptist Church is sponsoring a Co-Ed church soccer league this fall. The season begins September 4, 2007. We need students to sign up in the following age categories: 4 and 5 year olds, 6 to 8 year olds, 9 to 12 year olds, and 13 to 18 year olds. The age divisions could change depending on the number of participants. We also need adult volunteers to coach in each of the above categories. No experience required for students or adults. Contact Mack Kelly if you have questions.

It is time to start praying about our 2007 Mexico Mission trip. We leave Thursday night around 10 pm on November 1st and return Sunday, November 11th. Ask God if he wants you to go. Sign-up sheet is on the table in the vestibule.

Tonight at 6 pm, the New Member’s Class will begin in the Young Adult’s Sunday School Classroom, which is room #5. This class is for those new members joining after January 1, 2007 and anyone interested in becoming a member of the church.

Reminder, the three guys in the praise band will be leaving the church at 2:00 pm Friday, July 27th to go to a conference at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, GA. We will return about 6:30 pm on Saturday, July 28th. We will be having a car wash at a later date to raise funds for our praise band. Please pray for us. Sherry Kelley will be sponsoring a baby shower for Jena Hughes on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the fellowship building. It will be a drop-in shower for all who attend NFBC. We will be celebrating DJ and Jena’s twin blessings. The girls’ room is decorated in pastel colors (pink, white and lavender) with butterflies.

The second study of Men’s Fraternity: “The Great Adventure” is a 20 week study designed to help men understand their true identity and to guide them to break free from the bondage of boredom to embark on the adventure of their lives. The cost of the Viewers Guide is $10. The church will purchase the DVD’s. Some have expressed an interest in meeting on Sunday nights at 6 pm. The starting date is October 7th. Sign-up sheet is in the vestibule.

Young at Heart: We are having “Cake, Ice Cream and a Comedian” on Saturday night, July 28th at 6:30 pm in the fellowship building. Dennis Smith will be joining us for a night of laughs and fellowship. Please sign up in either vestibule. If you want to help out, sign up to bring a cake or a churn of ice cream.
