The Place of Death Became

A Place Of Life

Mention the word Dachau and what do you think of? You think of death, imprisonment, torture, for Dachau was the name of one of the most notorious of the German prison camps during World War II. Thousands were shot, hanged or died of starvation at Dachau.

What many do not know is that after the war, Dachau was turned into a refugee center where, for decades, those fleeing Communism came to find their way to freedom. The place of death became a place of new life.

That’s what the resurrection did to the cross. For centuries the cross had been a place of death. When we look at the cross from the perspective of the empty tomb, we see the cross as a place of life.

(Robert C. Shannon in Pulpit Digest, Jan/Feb, 1985. p. 58)

Because He Lives, Bro. Royce
