Bulletin: Week of March 13, 2011

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

We will be receiving the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions this morning. Our church goal is $2700. Pray and give! If you are visiting, you are not expected to participate.

 

Blood Pressure Check after both morning services.

 

We will continue our in-depth study of the Tabernacle tonight.

 

The Dorcas Group will meet in the Flora Garrett Classroom tomorrow at 4:30 pm.

 

Joe and Martha Baker will provide snacks for the youth Wednesday night.

 

Wednesday night, we will continue our Winter Bible Study “Galatians.” June Hunter will be teaching.

 

Youth Council meeting today at 5 pm in the Spares and Pairs Classroom.

 

The Sherry Kelley Group will meet March 17th at 6:30 pm.

 

We still need a couple of people to sign up for chili for the Norris Fest (May 14th). Sign up sheet is in the vestibule.

 

March 20: Youth Sunday Night Alive-Youth will be having some activities after the night service.

 

If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the upcoming Parade of Tables Fundraiser or have questions concerning this event, please see Janie Swords or Paula Norris or you can contact Paula Norris at 982-3790 and leave a message. Please join us for a wonderful meal and an exciting evening of entertainment featuring Dawn Smith Jordon on March 26th at 6 pm to 8:30 pm. We will also have a silent auction during the evening and a door prize winner every 15 minutes. Come support our annual fundraiser for our New Family Life Center.

 

March 24-26, 2011, Piedmont Baptist Association, “Revive us again Family Conference” at Mount Moriah in Piedmont. There are brochures in the entrance.

 

Sign up sheet in the vestibule for the 2011 Mission Trip to Cumberland, Kentucky, June 11-18th. Please put your t-shirt size and telephone number on the sheet. Last day to sign up is March 27th. Whether you will be driving nails, teaching a craft, repairing a home, cutting grass for an elderly person, teaching a Bible story, you will be on a mission for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. We will know by the last of March what the adults will be doing. We know our students will be doing a sport camp and sharing the Gospel with all the children and adults.

 

During the upcoming summer months, our mission groups will begin meeting (GA’s, RA’s Mission Friends and Acteens). We will be needing some help with the RA’s, GA’s and Acteens. If you are willing to help, please see Michelle Stancil or Becky Harper.

Copies of March newsletter are located in both vestibules and downstairs.

 

The Deacon Team recommends establishing a transportation fund for the future purchase of a Bus or Van. We will not have a monthly walk offering for this fund. If you would like to contribute, just mark an offering envelope and place it in the offering plate. This would be a great way to honor or remember a love one.

Bulletin: Week of March 6, 2011

First Place will meet tomorrow night at 7:00 in the fellowship building. We will be having an exercise session, so dress comfortably.

 

The bulletin for March 13th will be done tomorrow and Tuesday. Please have all your information in the office for this bulletin by tomorrow.

 

Alice Johnson Group will meet in the home of Meryl O’Donald at 7:00 pm. Deanna and Meryl will be hosting.

 

Nancy McConnell will provide snacks for Wednesday night.

 

Wednesday night, we will continue our Winter Bible Study “Galatians.”. Josh Addis will be teaching.

 

On March 12, the youth will meet in the fellowship hall at 10:30; we will be going bowling in Seneca. Bring money for lunch.

 

Daylight Saving Time starts Saturday night.

Rev. and Mrs. Addis and the entire church family extend Christian love and sympathy to Linda Pressley in the death of her brother, Ronnie Patterson and to Wayne Pressley in death of his uncle, Marvin Pressley and to Jerry Lodge in the death of his sister and to Roger Banks in the death of his cousin, Craig Banks.

 

Need men of the church to help spread mulch Saturday, March 12th starting at 8:30 am. Bring rakes and shovels!
