You may want to help out every Wednesday night and that will be great or if you can only commit to help one Wednesday night that will be appreciated also. We need your help. Our kids need your help to better equip them with God’s word to help them with their choices in their daily lives. If you have questions or would like to help with our WMU summer programs, please see the WMU co-directors, Michelle Stancil or Becky Harper.

Newsletter for June 2011

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

A special thank you to everyone who had a part in making the 20-year celebration something we will always remember. All the cards, kind words, the monetary gifts, and the most precious gift of your time was overwhelming! Elaine and I really enjoyed the evening. But like I said that night, it isn’t really about me, it’s about Jesus Christ and what he will do for an individual and a church that is completely sold out to Him. Church, we haven’t arrive yet, so let’s keep praying, working, and seeking His will!

Love, Bro. Royce

Samaritan Health Clinic

Samaritan Health Clinic of Pickens County (Free Medical Clinic) will celebrate our 20th birthday this year. We will celebrate on June 11th from 4-7 pm at our facility 303 Dacusville Highway, Easley, SC. We will have four of our local churches to provide Christian music. BBQ plates will be available for $8 per plate, and there will be free popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones and birthday cake. Our clinic provides medical care to the uninsured residents of Pickens County who are low income. We are a faith-based ministry and depend on the support of our local churches. (Flyers are located in the vestibule)

Basketball Camp

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the YMCA, Piedmont Baptist Association and First Baptist Church, Easley are sponsoring jointly a Basketball Camp for rising third through rising 8th graders from July 18 to July 21. Our camp leader is Mrs. Christy Hansen, a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who loves young people and the game of basketball. While we will teach the skills of basketball, we will also intentionally reach out in the name of Christ. Christian athletes and coaches from local colleges will share their testimonies, and other collegiate athletes will lead in small group Bible study. The camp is free. A meal will be provided each day for every camper. (Copies of application forms for participants are in the vestibule, along with more information) Register in advance.
